ILAG CERAMIC

“Cooking and baking with objects based on the latest technology – cooking becomes the greatest pleasure with ILAG High End Ceramic Coatings.”

The ceramic coating for intensive use

The systems available in the CERAMIC product range are exceptional ceramic coating systems that are manufactured free of PTFE and PFOA.

CERAMIC coatings are ideally suited for the area of cooking and bakeware products.

Ceramic coatings for cookware, as well as for baking moulds and roaster trays, are usually two-layer systems based on silicon dioxide.

The glass-like, inorganic coating is characterised by a very high surface hardness and good resistance to scratches and abrasion.

Due to the excellent non-stick effect, exceptional results can be expected when baking, even when using complicated moulds. In some cases, there is no need to use grease at all.

Instructions for use

Remove the packaging and all labels before using for the first time. Clean the objects with liquid detergent and hot water, and lightly oil or grease them.

Never heat up objects when they are empty; overheating must be avoided. A drop of oil can serve as a temperature indicator to detect overheating.

Baking moulds and roaster trays should not be used on the hotplate, but are exclusively intended for use in the oven.

Care instructions

Before using for the first time, clean the objects with liquid detergent and hot water.

The object can later be cleaned with hot water, detergent and a sponge, or with the fine side of a rinsing sponge. A soft rinsing brush can also be used to clean the object.

In general, non-stick coated objects are cleaned in the dishwasher, although this is not recommended. If the object will nevertheless be washed in a dishwasher, we would recommend re-oiling or re-greasing before using it again.

Under no circumstances should the objects be cleaned with the abrasive side of a rinsing sponge or with a metal scouring pad. The non-stick coating will be scratched, and can be destroyed. The non-stick effect reduces considerably in poorly cleaned objects, and the coating will be destroyed.

Long service life

Overheating can lead to discoloration and will destroy the non-stick coating.

All coatings are sensitive to scratches and cuts. Small scratches are visible, but do not lead to deterioration in performance.

You should therefore only use nylon or wooden utensils in order not to damage the surface seal.

The use of small quantities of fat and oil will considerably extend the service life.

Temperature stability

Ceramic coating systems are exceptionally heat-resistant. Nevertheless, cooking temperatures should not be too high in order to avoid destroying the precious food and its nutrients. The following basic rule thereby applies, even for very heat-resistant ceramic coatings:

Never heat up an empty pan, in particular with induction hobs. The critical temperatures can be quickly reached.

The pan can be heated up to 230 °C in the long-term and up to 250 °C over the short-term (according to the BfR recommendation).

Please note

The ILAG company is a manufacturer of high-quality non-stick coatings. For questions with regard to the pan or the baking moulds or roaster trays, as well as the associated accessories, please contact the manufacturer of the corresponding objects.
